Hotel Waterbury, VT
Our library pub, open until 9pm nightly to guests and the public, is one of the most unique and beloved aspects of our hotel. Waterbury, VT boasts a number of wonderful drinking establishments, but none are as cozy or welcoming as the bar at The Old Stagecoach Inn.
Take a step back in time as you sit amidst the warm woodwork and tintype ceiling that harken back to the pub’s origin as a stagecoach stop and tavern almost 200 years ago. Select a book from our library, try your hand at chess on our iconic board, or make a new friend over checkers, cribbage, backgammon and more. Enjoy a classic cocktail while chatting with people from all across the globe (and all across Vermont).
Featuring a broad selection of Vermont and regional beers, ciders, meads, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as a full wine menu, we are sure to offer something to tempt your palate. A favorite hideaway of locals and guests, our library pub is the perfect spot to relax after a long day on the trails or slopes!
Enjoy a selection of Vermont cheeses and charcuterie before you head out to dinner or come back for a nightcap and one of our rotating dessert specials, relaxing by the fire in the parlor before retiring for the evening.
If anyone asks, just tell them you’re at the library!
